Getting the word out one interview at a time

Getting the word out about my book China Rising: The Case for Containment was one of the most daunting and challenging tasks I had to confront over the past few years. Writing the book, which took 5 years, and editing it, which took 1 year (a Ph.D. for the subject matter and a Ph.D. for the citations) didn't prepare me for the world I was about to get into. Having information, vision, and drive only gets you so far; then you have to fuse all of your capabilities and push a little farther.

I’m so fortunate that my wife and kids understood that I had to complete the project and get the material into the hands of defense policy makers as well as defense industry principals critical to the program then and now. The defense 'disruption' that China Rising: The Case For Containment offers is indeed an ongoing process.
